Elizabeth Brine owns a farm in the middle of nowhere, Florida. Things have been rather tough lately for her both physically and financially. Trying to run a farm by herself would normally be a daunting amount of work, but she's a shifter. A bobcat to be exact. She's more durable than the average five-foot-five human. If it wasn't for the alpha of the mountain lions prowling her property, she'd actually be able to get a good night's sleep. With her heat cycle approaching, the man in the woods, Jackson, is preparing to make his move. He's stronger, faster and is too well-connected for her to get away from.

Davin Wright is a shifter-drifter who just so happens to be in the area. He's just trying to find his 'new groove'. He's not an Emperor by any means, however. He's here to attend a job fair in hopes of landing a good, steady living. An offer comes his way that he can't refuse, and he ends up meeting a young girl who needs some assistance. What he didn't realize was just how fast he was going to fall for her. With trouble around the corner, he has to work fast to make things safe for the girl. Will he make it in time to protect her?
