J. A. Maverick has been writing professionally since 2020. That's right, as soon as Covid shut things down, it opened an opportunity for him to swing for the fences. He has been writing since he was a pre-teen, but it was never something he imagined as a career. His debut novel, Reborn, became an award-winner at the 2023 Spring BookFest Awards under Urban Fantasy. It is now also in the works to become a TV Series! Knights of the Round recently won 1st place as Best Sci-Fi novel and Reborn, again, won 2nd place as Best Urban Fantasy series. This means that J.A. Maverick's work has won/placed in every award contest he's applied for.

J. A. Maverick started his career as a chef by graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY back in 2001. After years of grueling work, he switched to print-marketing, where he helped run a company for over a decade. Later on, he became a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is currently working in the film industry as an independent contractor, and has worked on dozens of commercials, television projects and even some of the biggest motion pictures of the decade with some of your favorite celebrities. He is starting to make his own films as a writer, producer and director, recently having his first short film showcased at Valencia College's 30th Film Celebration.
